Paneltim plastic panels for technical installations

Skids or Technical Installations are used in industrial and agricultural buildings to house and protect technical equipment from external factor such as dirt, water and/or debris

Paneltim panels can be made from polypropylene (PP copo) or polyethylene (PEHD). They have an internal sandwich structure with cells of 50 x 100 mm or 50 x 50 mm, making them light yet very strong. Hence even large industrial air filters manufactured out of Paneltim will be strong, but still very light at the same time, allowing - certainly for large installations - for considerable potential cost reductions in transport to the end client.

Extending Paneltim panels to large sizes

Using regular plastic welding techniques (butt welding, extrusion welding, hot air welding) efficient, light, load bearing constructions can be manufactured out of Paneltim panels. Thanks to their own light weight large sheets of joined Paneltim panels can be mounted relatively easily and with minimal fixations.

Thanks to the sandwich structure with internal cells - minimalizing the panels own weight - large volume air applications can be manufactured and transported using regular transport equipment (forklifts, cranes, etc.). Moreover using Paneltim panels allows for efficient and easy local assembly at the end customer, further optimizing transport.

Air filters both inside and outside

Technical installations out of Paneltim panels can be used inside or outside. Adding UV stabilizer (mid European or worldwide UV depending on requirement) for outside use is possible. Paneltim advises against using dark colours for outside use.

Paneltim connections

Paneltim panels in prime polypropylene or polyethylene can be welded together with other PP or PE elements, such as solid plastic sheets, tubes, etc.

Less reinforcements

Thanks to the internal sandwich structure Paneltim panels require less reinforcement compared to solid plastic sheets.

Good insulation value

Paneltim panels have good insulation values thanks to the low thermal conductivity of plastic in general, as well as the enclosed air in the cell structure, reducing heat dissipation into the environment.

Advice and support

• Paneltim strongly recommends to avoid dark colors for outside use.
• Paneltim strongly recommends prime material for structural applications.
• Technical datasheets are only available for panels in prime material.
